October 23, 2019
Bing Concert Hall

This annual concert honors the life and memory of Stanford alumnus Daniel Pearl, the violin-playing Wall Street Journal reporter who was murdered in 2002. The program will feature Steve Reich’s “Daniel Variations,” which quotes the Book of Daniel and Pearl himself, as well as the Grammy winning “Different Trains,” a work that reflects on the plight of the European Jewish community during World War II.

This is a free event.
