A quartet of searching lovers confront some Asian stereotypes of Anglo-America, along with the self-image struggles of Asian Americans themselves, all the while trying to connect as whole people. This laugh-out-loud romantic comedy explores the sexual dynamics that surface around a young Korean American woman and her suitors all living in Breakneck, Wyoming—a far too intimate town. Cowboy vs Samurai, a politically edgy and funny story of inter-racial dating and identity, is explored with great humor, irony and human foibles.

Please note the playwright intentionally merges Asian culture as a whole to challenge that same conflation done by much of Anglo-America. Tacoma Arts Live has chosen this play to extend its long tradition of diverse programming, and will produce this theatrical experience with a culturally appropriate cast and artistic leadership.
