Branford Marsalis Quartet

In 1986 NEA Jazz Master Branford Marsalis formed the Branford Marsalis Quartet, adding guest vocalist Kurt Elling. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Marsalis partnered with Harry Connick Jr. to found the Musicians’ Village in New Orleans—a place where artists could work to preserve and reconstruct their beloved community.
