Robert Schumann features not one but four horn soloists in his triumphant Konzertstück, giving audiences the chance to hear (and see) members of our exceptional horn section up close. Then, Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra uses the combined forces of the full orchestra, rather than highlighting a single soloist. Plus acclaimed German horn player Stefan Dohr presents the U.S. Premiere of a new concerto by Danish composer Hans Abrahamsen.
