Fanny Ara in Juncal Street Flamenco

In 2006, Ara was nominated in the category of Most Outstanding Individual Dancer from the Isadora Duncan Dance Awards. In June 2007, her presentation of “Magia Flamenca” received critical acclaim in Washington DC. In 2008 Ara created her work “A traves de sus ojos” which Renee Renouf reviewed as “always elegant, the reach of her arms generous, frequently evoking unseen forces, body occasionally concave, legs striding in earthy response, fingers spread in exclamation to the rhythms, leaving the stage abruptly, provoking a gasp of delight.” In Spring of 2011, she presented “Garlochi,” at the Montalvo Center of Art, after touring the US and Mexico.
