Janis Joplin is coming to the 5th Avenue Theatre in 2016. They recently announced that they’ll be replacing Sleeping Beauty Wakes with a show about the legendary singer.

Congratulations to Braden Abraham. He was recently announced officially as Seattle Rep‘s Artistic Director.

Seattle Opera is performing Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers to rave reviews. It’s “excellent.” It’s also a good evening spent with your grandmother.

ACT is staging Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play. It’s a post-apocalpytic tale where a new culture must be forged. With the Simpsons. The writer, Anne Washburn is discussed, here.

Christine Marie Brown, who is in Mr. Burns, is interviewed here. She’ll also be in Book-It’s coming production of the Jane Austen classic, Emma.
