March 20, 2019
Benaroya Hall

Engage in conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Harbison who will read selections from his new book, What Do We Make of Bach? The book offers an extended commentary on his new work being performed by the Seattle Symphony, and explores Bach’s profound significance on Harbison as a composer.

Violinist Rose Mary Harbison and keyboardist John Harbison perform music by Bach, Mozart, Harbison, Schöenberg and Kreisler, and read excerpts from the book. The author will be available to sign copies after the event.
