Elizabeth Cree

Elizabeth Cree is a thrilling new opera by composer Kevin Puts and librettist Mark Campbell, the Pulitzer Prize-winning team who created Silent Night. The opera merges murder with the music hall, Gothic thriller with Dickensian romance, fiction with fact, and features special appearances by historical luminaries George Gissing, Dan Leno, and Karl Marx. Based on the novel, The Trial of Elizabeth Cree by Peter Ackroyd.

This is one of three operas that will be presented as part of the West Edge Opera Festival.
