Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto is regularly heralded as one of the most perfect violin concertos ever written—a jewel in the crown of the repertoire. From its moody opening to the high-flying finale, Mendelssohn’s sparkling melodies and heroic bravura will be on full display with Seattle Symphony Concertmaster Noah Geller. Plus: hear a rare performance of Czech composer Miloslav Kabeláč’s Fourth Symphony, a musical testament to the irrepressible will of the Czech people during the turbulent 20th century.
