Beethoven & Franck

Beethoven’s Quintet for Piano and Winds pays tribute to Mozart’s composition with the same instrumentation and key, which showcases the individual instruments’ distinctive timbres. Franck’s Piano Quintet premiered with fellow composer Camille Saint-Saëns at the piano, to whom the piece is dedicated.
