For Italian pianist Filippo Gorini’s Seattle debut, he takes the listener on a journey from Beethoven’s harmonious Sonata, Op. 110 through the folk-like melodies of Bartók’s Sonata, across the cerebral landscape of Stockhausen’s Klavierstück IX and ultimately to the heights of Beethoven’s last piano sonata.
