Compañía Nacional de Danza

Spain’s premiere dance group returns to Seattle after 14 years with two exhilarating works by its former Artistic Director, choreographer Nacho Duato. White Darkness, a lush and virtuosic one-act ballet created as a requiem, and Remansos, inspired by the imaginative world of poet Federico García Lorca and set to the music of Enrique Granados. The vivacious and satirical Sad Case, by Sol León and Paul Lightfoot, embodies the fiery, syncopated rhythms of Mexican mambo. The company is internationally renowned for its expressively powerful and refined movement style.
